In the heart of Ellwood City, a profound sense of loss envelops the community as it mourns the unexpected passing of a cherished soul, Michele Marie Harding. At the age of 68, Michele departed from this world on Friday, December 1st, 2023, at her residence, succumbing to natural causes.
Her unexpected departure leaves a void that resonates through the fabric of the community she served and loved.
Born on July 22nd, 1955, in Ellwood City to Bruno Suppa and the late Mary Jane “Peppy” (Manzo) Suppa, Michele’s roots in the community ran deep. A proud graduate of Lincoln High School, class of 1973, she embarked on a journey of service and compassion by studying nursing at Slippery Rock University and Beaver County Community College. For over four decades, Michele dedicated herself to the well-being of the community as a stalwart member of the Ellwood City Hospital.
Michele’s impact extended beyond her professional endeavors. As a member of Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church, she found solace and purpose in her faith.
Her love for family, holidays, and the camaraderie shared with the ladies from her domino group became cherished aspects of her life. Michele’s culinary talents, evident in her baking and cooking, were an expression of the warmth and care she poured into everything she did.
A beacon of light, Michele took pride in her home and extended her caring embrace to everyone around her. Her legacy, reflected in the lives she touched, stands as a testament to a life well-lived and the irreplaceable light she brought into the world.
Michele is survived by her father Bruno (Margaret) Suppa, life partner Fred Harding, daughter Alaina Harding, grandchildren Alexxia Harding and Jase Lagala, sister Georgiann (Tom) Wolf, brother Michael Suppa, nieces, nephews, and her beloved dog Chevy.
As the community gathers to bid farewell, friends and family will be received on Thursday at Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church. The funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc.
