Tom Kelly, of 19 Cluain Riadh, Link Rd., Brownshill, and formerly of Oakpark, Carlow, died away quietly in St. Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny, on December 2, 2023, leaving the community in mourning. Tom was a loving father, a committed spouse, and a much-loved presence.
He leaves behind a legacy of warmth and affection that those who had the honor of knowing him will always treasure. Tom was a source of support and stability for his family, leaving behind his devoted wife Collette and his kids David and Ciarán.
His daughters-in-law, Vivian and Diane, as well as his extended family, will deeply mourn his passing. Tom’s kindness, empathy, and steadfast support have made a lasting impression on everyone in his vicinity. On Monday, December 4, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. or 7.30 p.m., the community will assemble at Carpenters Funeral Home, Shamrock Square, Carlow (Eircode R93 C863) to pay their respects.
The last goodbye will be on Tuesday, when the body will be taken to The Cathedral of the Assumption, Carlow, leaving the funeral home at 11.45 a.m.
The funeral mass will begin at noon, and the body will thereafter be laid to rest in Carlow’s St. Mary’s Cemetery.
May the sweet soul of Tom rest in peace, as the community grieves the death of a cherished member. His love and compassion will remain with the passing of time, and his memory will continue to shine through the people he touched.
