The Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) community in Strabane has released a sorrowful notice in which it offers its deepest sympathies and condolences to the family and friends of the late Ben McNally, a beloved member of the community.
Ben, who lived on Laurel Drive in Strabane, was not only well-known for his extensive engagement in the GAA but was also a gifted vocalist who brought a distinct and lively personality to the area. The decades-long relationship between the McNally Clan and the GAA in Strabane has left a lasting impression on the sports world.
Ben McNally, commonly known as Raymond, passed away at his Laurel Drive home on December 3rd, 2023. This is a sad occasion for Strabane since it means saying goodbye to a dear friend. Eileen adored her husband Raymond, also known as Ben, who was also the brother of the late Jim, Frances, Albert, Brendan, and Gerard.
On Tuesday, December 5th, at 12:20 p.m., the funeral procession will leave his home and go to St. Mary’s Church in Melmount, where a requiem mass will be said at 1 p.m. The Mass will be followed by cremation at Lakelands Crematorium.
The people of Strabane send their condolences to Ben’s bereaved wife, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, and extended family on the death of their beloved friend and family member.
