Shooting In Laval Quebec CN, Arrest Made In Laval Drive-By Shooting Of Innocent Elderly Man

In a significant breakthrough for law enforcement, Laval police announced the arrest of Carlos Pena Torrez, a 36-year-old man from Hamilton, Ont., in connection with a drive-by shooting that occurred earlier this year. Torrez now faces charges of attempted murder and discharging a firearm, following the issuance of a Canada-wide warrant. The incident unfolded on January 29th in a parking lot on Des Laurentides Boulevard in Laval, just north of Montreal.

The victim, a 77-year-old man, had been leaving a liquor store when he was ruthlessly shot multiple times by an assailant firing from a moving car. Miraculously, the victim survived the attack and was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The investigation has revealed that the victim was not associated with any criminal activities and, shockingly, appears to have been targeted by mistake. Authorities believe the assailant, Torrez, fled the scene promptly after the attack.

This arrest marks a crucial step forward in bringing justice to the victim and addressing the alarming rise in violent incidents. The Laval police, in collaboration with law enforcement agencies across Canada, demonstrated the effectiveness of their efforts in apprehending the suspect.

As the legal proceedings unfold, the community awaits further details on the motives behind this seemingly random and senseless act of violence.
