A deacon The arrival of Eric Demond into the world was celebrated by Mr. Ira Baker and Mrs. Bertha Baker on August 18, 1976, in the city of Eldorado, Arkansas. This union resulted in the birth of five Baker Boys, one of them was him. Eric has always had a profound love and zeal for God and the church. He has always been faithful to both. His maternal grandmother, Myrtle L. Miller, was the one who bestowed upon him the nickname “Preacher.
She gave him that name in honor of her brother, Superintendent Lennie Clemons Jr., who presided over him as his pastor for a considerable amount of time. It was until the transition of Superintendent Lennie Clemons that he appreciated and adored him. At New Beginnings COGIC, where he faithfully served as a deacon until April 12, 2023, he also progressed further as a deacon under the pastoral guidance of his uncle, Bishop Herman Hayes. He served in this capacity until April 12, 2023. In 1994, Eric graduated from Southside Elementary, Barton Junior High, and El Dorado High School, completing his education in all three institutions.

Eric worked as a Sales Associate at Ace Hardware at S&S Home Center for a period of twenty years from 1993 until his retirement. He was able to achieve success in this capacity thanks to his love of people. His hospitality was always there, and he never encountered a stranger.
Additionally, via his work as a sales associate, he frequently engaged in the act of sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with a large number of customers. In the course of his many years of service, he eventually became a part of the proprietor’s family.
Furthermore, he spent years managing Burger King, where he used his position as a manager to promote the gospel in addition to his full-time job. He did this while he was also working full-time.
