Matthew Craig Hudson, a beloved resident of Lexington, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. His sudden and tragic death has left a profound impact on his family, friends, and community, who will deeply miss his presence in their lives.

_A Life of Simple Joys and Meaningful Connections_

Born in Saigon, Vietnam, on November 30, 1969, Matthew later made his home in Lexington, where he became a well-known and cherished member of his community. He attended Cadentown Baptist Church and was known for his engaging and friendly nature. Matthew had a love for simple joys in life, often visiting local gas stations to grab a pop and scratch-off tickets. He had a gift for conversation, always eager to strike up a chat with friends, family, and even strangers, bringing smiles and warmth to those around him.

_A Cherished Family Member and Friend_

Matthew is survived by his loving father, Craig Wesley Hudson of Lexington; his paternal grandmother, Ethel Thurman of Lawrenceburg; and his sister, Marquita Carr, along with her husband, Ramon. He also leaves behind his cherished niece and nephew, Maya and Andre Carr of Colorado Springs, CO. Additionally, he is remembered fondly by his aunts and uncle, Marshale Holland (James) of Louisville, Jonathan Thurman of Lexington, Cindy Bean, and Gina Penny, both of Lawrenceburg. Matthew was also blessed with a circle of special friends, including Marcy Hall, Missy Hall, and Samuel Thompson, along with a host of cousins and many dear friends who will miss him deeply.

_A Celebration of Life and Legacy_

A celebration of Matthew’s life will take place on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Noon & Son Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., officiated by Pastor Aaron Mansfield. Prior to the service, visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., allowing friends and family to gather and pay their respects. Matthew Craig Hudson’s life was filled with laughter, kindness, and an unwavering love for those around him. As his family and friends come together to honor his memory, they will forever cherish the moments spent with him and the joy he brought into their lives.
