Heather Strode, a longtime faculty member in the Department of Communication at Western Kentucky University, passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2025.

Strode, a 1995 graduate of WKU, dedicated more than two decades of her life to the university. She began teaching in the Communication Department in 2002, impacting the lives of her students for 22 years.

Her journey with WKU began earlier, in 1999, when she worked as the leadership and volunteerism coordinator with the Department of Student Activities.
