Kale Ervin Mueller’s life, though tragically short, was filled with love, joy, and boundless enthusiasm. Kale, who passed away on December 18, 2024, at the age of 11, was a beacon of light to everyone around him. Born on May 10, 2013, in Effingham, Illinois, Kale was a young boy whose infectious laugh and charisma transformed every room he entered.

_A Beloved Son, Brother, and Grandson_

Kale was the beloved son of Ervin A. Mueller II and Brooke (Johnson) Mueller and the younger brother of Tanner Price and Kierra Mueller. His family describes him as the heart of their home, a boy whose sense of humor could make any ordinary moment extraordinary. His grandparents, Ron and Duckie Johnson, were instrumental in shaping the loving and humorous young boy that Kale was.

_A Shining Star in His Community_

As a 6th grader at Stewardson-Strasburg School, Kale was known for his ability to lighten the mood, making learning fun for everyone around him. His quick wit and light-hearted approach to life also made him a beloved member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, where he brought joy to everyone with his playful spirit.

_A Passionate Young Adventurer_

Kale’s love for adventure was evident in his many hobbies. He was a passionate fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and enjoyed playing both baseball and basketball. His love for the outdoors led him to deer and squirrel hunting, and he could often be found riding four-wheelers or camping. Kale’s creativity was also evident when he was immersed in building with Legos, where his imagination soared.

_A Legacy of Love, Laughter, and Memories_

Though his time with us was brief, Kale’s impact was immeasurable. His family, friends, classmates, and the entire Stew-Stras community will always cherish his memory. A visitation will be held on Sunday, December 22, 2024, at Stew-Stras Junior High Gymnasium, with funeral services at St. John’s Lutheran Church on Monday, December 23, 2024. Memorials in Kale’s name may be given to St. John’s Lutheran LYF or WSS Sportsbackers.

In his brief eleven years, Kale lived a life filled with love, laughter, and adventure, and his spirit will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew him.
