Michael Metz obituary, death, a Devoted Husband, Father, and Registered Nurse, Passes Away at 42, Leaving a Legacy of Love, Dedication, and Warmth

Michael Metz, a loving husband, father, and registered nurse, passed away on November 25, 2024, at the age of 42, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and warmth. He is survived by his wife, Jillian Metz, and their two cherished daughters, Hailei Metz, 22, and Lily Metz, 7. Michael is also survived by his parents, Michael and Dana Metz of Warwick, his sister Daniella Ciampanelli, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, nieces, and a nephew.

As a registered nurse, Michael dedicated his life to helping others, working as a hospice RN at Hope Health, where he brought comfort and care to countless patients and their families during their most vulnerable moments.

Previously, he worked in the Rhode Island Hospital Emergency Room, where his skill and dedication made a profound impact. Before his nursing career, Michael served as a cardiac EMT with the North Scituate Fire Department, further exemplifying his commitment to service.

Michael’s love for his family was boundless, and his daughters were the light of his life. Known for his vibrant personality, he was the life of every gathering, bringing laughter and joy wherever he went.

His quick wit and wonderful sense of humor made him a magnet for friends and family alike. Outside of his professional and personal life, Michael had a deep passion for muscle cars, trucks, and motorcycles, which brought him great happiness.

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Michael’s life during visiting hours at The Butterfield Chapel, 500 Pontiac Avenue, Cranston, on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Burial services will be private, honoring Michael’s memory in a close and personal way.

Michael’s passing leaves a void in the lives of all who knew him, but his legacy of love, dedication, and warmth will continue to inspire and uplift those who were fortunate enough to have known him. His memory will be cherished by his family, friends, and the countless lives he touched through his work and personal connections.”
