Despite efforts to save him, Waller was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation led to the arrest of 25-year-old Takai Anthony Brodie, who surrendered to investigators at the Henry County Sheriff’s Office shortly after the incident. Brodie was charged with first-degree murder and using a firearm in the commission of a felony. He is currently being held at the Henry County Adult Detention Center without bond.
