MAN SHOT AND KILLED IN PARKING LOT OF BURLINGTON IN NAPLES, SUSPECT IN CUSTODY
A tragic shooting occurred on Sunday, November 10, at 12725 Tamiami Trail E in Naples, resulting in the death of a man. The incident took place in the parking lot in front of Burlington, and emergency services were promptly called to the scene.
At 9:53 a.m., Collier County emergency medical services and Greater Naples Fire Department personnel arrived, and the individual was declared deceased at 10:02 a.m.
The Collier County Sheriff’s Office has verified that a suspect is in custody and that there is no threat to the community, as the people involved in the incident knew each other.
According to a woman claiming to be the victim’s mother-in-law, her son-in-law was shot in the head and killed by a man who also attempted to shoot her daughter.
OShe alleged that the male suspect is her son-in-law’s ex-girlfriend’s current boyfriend. While deputies have not confirmed any information, witnesses reported seeing a male suspect taken into custody.
Early reports suggest that the suspect may have been driving a red, white-striped Chevrolet Camaro, which was seen at the scene. The investigation is ongoing at the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, and more details will be released as they become available.
