THIRD SUSPECT CHARGED IN FATAL SHOOTING OF FREDERICK COLEMAN JR.
A third suspect, Kyren Harris, has been charged in connection with the fatal shooting of 20-year-old Frederick Coleman Jr. in Melvindale, Michigan. Harris, 20, was arraigned on Tuesday and held on a $1 million bond. He joins two other suspects, Taiwan Antonelli Cox Jr. and Curtis Damon Harris, who were previously charged in the case.
All three suspects face charges of first-degree murder and felony firearm, which carry the potential for life sentences if convicted. The incident occurred on May 9, when Coleman was found shot in his car at the intersection of Outer Drive and Seaway in Melvindale. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation led by the Melvindale Police Department has resulted in the arrests and arraignments of all three suspects. The prosecution alleges that the three men fired multiple rounds into Coleman’s vehicle, resulting in his fatal injuries.
The case is a tragic reminder of the impact of gun violence on young lives and the importance of the justice system in holding those responsible accountable. The community is seeking justice and closure for Coleman’s family and friends, and the case will continue to unfold in the coming months.
