Hazleton, PA – The basketball world is mourning the loss of Brendan Brown, son of Hall of Fame coach Hubie Brown and former Knicks radio host, who passed away on Sunday at the age of 54 due to health issues.

Brendan Brown was born to Hubie Brown and his wife, Kate, in Hazleton, Pennsylvania. He grew up in a family deeply rooted in basketball, with his father being a renowned coach and television analyst.

CAREER

Brendan followed in his father’s footsteps, pursuing a career in basketball. He worked as a scout for the Knicks from 2006 to 2008 and was an assistant coach at Wake Forest and the Grizzlies. Additionally, he served as a radio host for the Knicks from 2008 to 2023.
