Minden, NV – Nevada State Police have identified the victim of a fatal single-vehicle accident on Interstate 580 and Eastlake Boulevard as 66-year-old Patrick Pearson from Minden.

The incident occurred on October 24, and preliminary findings suggest that Pearson was driving a 2007 GMC Yukon south on I-580 when he veered off the road onto the shoulder for unknown reasons.

According to the Nevada State Police, the right side of the SUV hit the concrete barrier several times while it continued its southbound trajectory, eventually coming to a stop approximately 4,500 feet from where it first made contact with the barrier. Sadly, Pearson was pronounced dead at the scene.
