On the morning of the murder, Redmond was delivering mail near 121st and Harvard around 11:40 a.m. when she was shot multiple times . Despite emergency efforts, she was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at Advocate Christ Medical Center .
Surveillance footage from that day captured the shooter in a stolen Dodge Durango fleeing the scene and abandoning the burned vehicle later in a field along South Holland Road .
