CCTV footage shared by the police shows Jones wearing a dark green coat, black rucksack, leggings, and walking boots. Dashcam footage later confirmed her walking along Graigwen Road towards Ynysybwl around 10:05 a.m., with a final reported sighting around 12:45 p.m. at Twyn Y Glog in Ynysybwl village.
Chief Inspector Matt Rowlands stated that officers have been working “tirelessly to try and establish the circumstances around her disappearance.” He mentioned that specialized search teams with equipment have conducted detailed searches in wooded areas close to her last sighting.
In addition, the search has been supported by the National Police Air Service, drones, Mountain Rescue volunteers, and specialist search dogs. Missing person flyers have also been distributed to local hikers and dog walkers.

He advised those participating to avoid venturing alone, to inform someone of their planned route and expected return time, to keep mobile phones fully charged, and to stick to designated pathways.
