Alexsandar Jokanovic, Tamara Lapadatovic Obituary, Death – Tragic Motorcycle Crash in East Harlem Claims Two Lives
A devastating motorcycle crash in East Harlem early Sunday morning has claimed the lives of Alexsandar Jokanovic, 30, and Tamara Lapadatovic, 35, both residents of Queens.
The New York Police Department (NYPD) received a 911 call around 4:43 a.m., reporting a vehicle collision near the intersection of East 106th Street and 3rd Avenue. Upon arrival, investigators from the NYPD Highway District’s Collision Investigation Squad launched an inquiry into the incident.
According to their findings, a Toyota Rav4, driven by a 30-year-old man, was traveling west on East 106th Street when it collided with a motorcycle that was heading north on 3rd Avenue.
The impact of the collision proved fatal for both the motorcycle’s driver, Jokanovic, and passenger, Lapadatovic. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) personnel arrived at the scene but were unable to save either victim, pronouncing them dead on-site.
The driver of the Toyota Rav4 was taken to Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital and is reported to be in stable condition. No charges have been filed in relation to the crash as of yet, and no arrests have been made. The NYPD’s Collision Investigation Squad is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal incident, seeking to determine any additional contributing factors.
