Daniel Shrewsbury Obituary, Death – 17-Year-Old Adiah Roberson Arrested for Sonic Drive-In Murder in Bexar County

A three-month manhunt came to an end with the arrest of 17-year-old Adiah Roberson in North Texas. She was wanted for the murder of 33-year-old Daniel Shrewsbury, a fast-food restaurant manager in Bexar County. U.S. Marshals confirmed that Roberson was apprehended without resistance on Tuesday, October 22, at around 1:30 p.m. near Pleasant Drive and C F Hawn Freeway Frontage Road in Dallas.

Roberson faced charges of forgery of a government document in addition to the murder charge. The fatal incident occurred on July 7 at a Sonic Drive-In located in the 5500 block of Babcock Road in San Antonio. According to reports, San Antonio police responded to a shooting at the Sonic, where they found Shrewsbury unresponsive with a gunshot wound to his chest. Despite efforts to save him, he died at the scene.

The investigation revealed that Roberson got into a dispute with a Sonic employee after attempting to use counterfeit money. Shrewsbury, who was the manager, went outside to photograph Roberson’s license plate, and that’s when she allegedly shot him. Roberson has ties to Bexar County, including the city of San Antonio, Texas. On July 16, 2024, a warrant was issued out of Bexar County for her arrest for Murder following the incident at the Sonic Drive-In ¹.
