Joshua Lee Davis and Nicole Lynn Davis Obituary, Death – A Tragic Shooting in Manassas, Virginia

Amandeep Singh, 49, has been arrested and charged with the fatal shooting of married couple Joshua Lee Davis and Nicole Lynn Davis, both 45 years old . The couple was found in the basement of a Manassas home, and Singh was apprehended in New Jersey after authorities were alerted to his presence. He faces multiple charges, including two counts of murder.

The investigation began after New Jersey authorities informed Prince William County Police that Singh had been detained following an incident with his family. This prompted officers to conduct a welfare check at Singh’s home on Hanson Grove Court in Manassas.

Upon arrival, officers found the house’s door open and, during their search, discovered the bodies of Joshua and Nicole Davis in the basement. Both had been shot and were later identified as a married couple renting the basement from the homeowners.

Detectives revealed that Singh had been involved in a violent domestic altercation the day before the murders. During this incident, Singh allegedly held two female family members, aged 50 and 53, at gunpoint inside the same house.

He reportedly fired a shot near them, though no one was injured. He also physically assaulted one of the women and attempted to strangle the other. The situation de-escalated when the women managed to escape, but the incident was not reported to the authorities at the time.

Following this domestic incident, Singh is believed to have shot and killed Joshua and Nicole Davis, who were familiar with Singh and his family but were not involved in the prior altercation. After the shootings, Singh fled to New Jersey, where he attempted to find his family.

However, he encountered other relatives who notified the police, leading to his arrest. Singh faces several serious charges, including two counts of murder, four counts of using a firearm in the commission of a felony, two counts of abduction, one count of strangulation, one count of domestic assault and battery, and two counts of discharging a firearm within an occupied dwelling.

He remains in custody in Burlington County, New Jersey, awaiting extradition to Virginia. Authorities are continuing to investigate the case. Prince William County police urge anyone with relevant information to contact them at 703-792-6500 or submit a tip online at (link unavailable).
