Timothy Frederick Humphrey-Fox death, a Devoted Husband, Father, and Servant of Others, Passes Away at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany

Timothy Frederick Humphrey-Fox, a beloved figure in Corinth, Amsterdam, and Albany, passed away quietly on October 1, 2024, at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany. Born on January 12, 1963, in Queens, New York, Timothy was the loving son of Frank and Jeanne Fox. He spent his early years in Queens before moving to New Fairfield, Connecticut, at the age of 12 when his mother remarried Thomas Moore, a long-time family friend.

Timothy was a committed student who completed his education at New Fairfield High School, the University of Connecticut-Storrs, Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and the State University of New York at Oneonta. His dedication to serving others drove him to finish counsellor training at St. Peter’s Hospital, concentrating in alcohol and drug dependency intervention.

During his time at Gordon-Conwell, Timothy met his wife, Judy, and they developed a lifetime friendship. They tied the knot on August 20, 1988, and shared 36 years of love, encouragement, and a common commitment to ministry. Judy was a pastor, and Timothy was her constant supporter. He worked at St. Mary’s Hospital in Amsterdam as an alcohol intervention counsellor and later moved to New Horizons Christian Counselling Centre in Scotia.

Timothy’s love for his family was evident in his pride and delight in his sons, Joshua and Adam. He welcomed Katie as Adam’s wife and relished in family game evenings, treasuring times of shared laughter, sharp wit, and competitive drive. His constant faith and love for Jesus were pillarstones throughout his life, and his family finds solace knowing he is now pain-free and singing happily in the celestial choir.

Timothy is survived by his wife, Judy; sons Joshua (Nikki Baccol) and Adam (Katie Fox); and a multitude of friends, relatives, and churchgoers who will always treasure his memory. Services will be held at the Amsterdam Methodist Church on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, followed by a committal at Corinth Rural Cemetery. Contributions in his memory may be made to the Amsterdam Methodist Church Trustees or the Fort Johnson Volunteer Fire Department. Densmore Funeral Home, Inc., Corinth is in charge of arrangements.

In the days and weeks to come, the community will come together to celebrate Timothy’s life
