Eric Hart Death: Milwaukee Native Passes Away After Courageous Battle with Health Complications
Eric Hart, a Milwaukee native, passed away on September 8th, 2024, after a valiant fight against numerous health challenges. His journey was marked by resilience and determination, inspiring all who knew him.
On September 19, 2019, Eric was involved in a devastating car accident that resulted in catastrophic brain damage. Despite undergoing multiple surgeries and being left paraplegic, Eric showed remarkable progress, exhibiting high-functioning skills.
Tragically, his condition deteriorated after a horrific incident at a San Antonio rehabilitation center. An employee accidentally dropped an electric device on his head, causing further brain damage and leading to unexpected surgeries. Eric’s health continued to decline, and his family filed a complaint alleging bodily injury and abuse by medical personnel.
On September 8th, Eric’s heart stopped beating, and he was pronounced dead at 9:21 p.m. His mother, Shorice Hart, was notified and received the heartbreaking news at the hospital.
Shorice has organized a fundraising event to transport Eric back to Milwaukee for a proper funeral ceremony, allowing him to rest in his hometown. The goal is to raise $10,000 to cover the expenses of a dignified service.
