Taylor Bookout’s journey with SCCAD began with determination and dedication at the Training Academy. His path to becoming a Paramedic was marked by his completion of the Paramedic/EMT-P program from 2016 to 2017, which laid a strong foundation for a career distinguished by excellence and compassion.
Joining SCCAD in November 2017, Taylor’s enthusiasm and professionalism quickly set him apart. Initially assigned to the Surge Division, his proficiency and dedication were recognized, leading to his subsequent placement on B-Platoon. Taylor’s exemplary service in the field was formally acknowledged with a Clinical Commendation, highlighting his skill, dedication, and the profound impact he had on his colleagues and patients.
Taylor’s contributions to SCCAD extended beyond his technical abilities. He was known for the compassion and empathy he brought to every call, embodying the spirit of a first responder who offered support and hope during times of crisis. His commitment to providing high-quality medical care was matched by his dedication to supporting those around him.
Outside of his professional life, Taylor was a devoted family man. He resided in Moscow Mills, Missouri, with his beloved wife, Bre Bookout, whom he married on October 24, 2020. Their shared life was characterized by love and mutual support, and they were blessed with a son, Oakley. Taylor’s family was central to his life, and his love for them was evident in everything he did.
Taylor Bookout’s passing is a profound loss to his family, friends, and the St. Charles County community.
