Vernon Cooper Obituary, Death – Tragic Single-Vehicle Accident Claims Life of Birmingham Man
Vernon Cooper, a 57-year-old Birmingham man, tragically lost his life in a single-vehicle accident in Chilton County over the weekend.
The incident occurred on Sunday when Cooper was driving on Interstate 65 near mile marker 213.
According to state troopers, Cooper’s vehicle veered off the roadway, struck an embankment, and then overturned.
Unfortunately, Cooper was not wearing a seatbelt, and as a result, he was ejected from the vehicle during the crash.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, which was located approximately two miles north of Clanton.
Authorities from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division are currently investigating the circumstances leading up to the crash.
They are seeking to understand what may have caused Cooper to lose control of his vehicle, which ultimately led to the fatal accident.
The investigation is ongoing, and no further details have been released at this time.
