Harry L Moynihan obituary, death, MD, a devoted physician and family man, unexpectedly passed away on August 10, 2024, at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital. His sudden passing has left a void in the lives of his loved ones, patients, and community.

Harry was born on May 9, 1963, in Chicago, Illinois, to Leslie John and Wanda Jean Moynihan. He spent his adolescent years in Cedar Lake, Indiana, and went on to receive degrees from the University of Chicago (1985) and the Indiana University School of Medicine (1991).

Harry conducted his Internal Medicine residency at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie from July 1991 to July 1994 and served as Chief Resident of Internal Medicine from July 1994 to July 1995. He leaves behind a medical career spanning over 33 years, having treated and cared for countless patients at St. Vincent – Randolph Hospital in Winchester, Indiana, and Reid Internal Medicine Clinic in Richmond, Indiana.

Harry met his wife, Sue, in 1986, and they were married on June 1, 1991, at St. Edward Catholic Church in Lowell, Indiana. Together, they had six children: Joey, Jamie, Jenny, John, Jake, and Jason. The Moynihan family are parishioners of St. Mary Catholic Church in Muncie.

Harry is survived by his wife, Sue, and their six children. He was preceded in death by his father, Leslie John Moynihan, and his mother, Wanda Jean (Riggs) Moynihan.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 16, 2024, at Elm Ridge Funeral Home. A Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at St. Mary Catholic Church.

Harry’s passing is a tremendous loss to the medical community and the countless lives he touched. His dedication, compassion, and love for his patients and family were evident in everything he did.

The Richmond, Indiana community is mourning the loss of a devoted physician who spent his career caring for others. His legacy will continue to inspire and uplift those who knew him.

Harry’s life was a testament to his hard work, dedication, and love for his family and community. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
