Lyonette Hale Thomas obituary, death, a Devoted Probation/Parole Officer and Drug Task Force Agent, Passes Away, Leaving Behind a Legacy of Dedication and Kindness.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the unexpected passing of our dear friend and colleague, Lyonette Hale-Thomas. Lyonette, who served as an agent with the 15th Judicial District Drug Task Force, left us far too soon, leaving behind a legacy of dedication, kindness, and unwavering commitment to her community.

Lyonette was a pillar of strength in the Logan County Sheriff’s Office. Her work with the 15th Judicial District Drug Task Force, which is based in Danville and covers four counties, including Logan County, was marked by her tireless efforts to address and combat the drug issues in our area. Her dedication to her role was evident in everything she did, and she approached her work with a determination that inspired those around her.

Before joining the Drug Task Force, Lyonette served as a Probation/Parole officer at the Logan County office. Her commitment to her role and to the people she served was unparalleled, and she was respected and admired by her colleagues for her professionalism and compassion. For many of us, Lyonette was not just a colleague but a friend who could always be counted on for support and encouragement.

Lyonette was more than just a dedicated public servant; she was a loving wife to her husband, Austin, and a devoted mother to their newborn child. Her unexpected passing has left a deep void in the lives of her family, friends, and colleagues. The Logan County community mourns the loss of a remarkable woman who gave so much of herself to protect and serve others.

As we remember Lyonette Hale-Thomas, we reflect on the many lives she touched and the positive impact she made in our community. Her work in tackling the drug issue in our area was a testament to her commitment to making Logan County a safer place for all. Her kindness, dedication, and hard work will never be forgotten.

Our hearts go out to Lyonette’s family during this incredibly difficult time. We extend our deepest condolences to her husband, Austin, and their newborn child, as well as to all who were fortunate enough to know Lyonette. Her legacy of service and love will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of working with her.

The community will gather to celebrate Lyonette’s life and legacy at a memorial service.
