Born on January 18, 1959, in Pana, he was the son of the late George and Louise (McKittrick) Sisk. Mike’s passing leaves a significant void in the lives of those who knew and loved him.

A proud graduate of Tower Hill High School, Mike attended Lake Land College, where he humorously majored in “parking lot and foosball.” He dedicated many years to working as a concrete finisher in construction. Additionally, Mike served as a drug and alcohol counselor at the Taylorville Correctional Center for several years after achieving sobriety on April 27, 1997, a testament to his resilience and commitment to helping others.

Mike had a zest for life, enjoying activities such as riding motorcycles, woodworking, and sharing moments with family and friends on social media. He took great joy in being the chauffeur for his beloved grandchildren, creating cherished memories along the way.

Mike married Deb Hall on September 15, 1979. Although they later divorced, they maintained a strong friendship throughout their lives. He is survived by his daughters, Jacci Sisk of Pana and Erica (Adam) Bailey of Shelbyville; his grandchildren, Kyndall Jones, Addison Bailey, Maggie Ishmael, Maks Bailey, and Lucy Ishmael; and his sisters, Sheila (David) Price of Washington and Colleen (Tim) Hinton of Tower Hill. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews: Kelly (Brad) Bouris, Jay (Heather) Hinton, Matt (Cristy) Price, and Jeremy (Raven) Hinton.

Funeral services for Sisko will be held on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at McCracken-Dean Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m., with Clark Blade officiating. Burial will take place in Tower Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 7, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Sisko’s honor may be made to the Pana Veterans Honor Guard. Donations can be accepted by McCracken-Dean Funeral Home, which is assisting the family during this difficult time.

Mike’s passing is a tremendous loss to our community, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched and the memories we shared with him.

As we say goodbye to Mike, we remember his infectious smile, his kind heart, and his unwavering commitment to his family and friends. His absence will be felt for years to come, but his impact on our lives will never be forgotten.

In the days ahead, we will come together to celebrate Mike’s life and legacy. We will share stories, memories, and laughter, and we will honor his memory by continuing to support one another and our community.

Rest in peace, dear Mike. Your memory will be a blessing to us all.
