The incident occurred just before 1 p.m. when his motorcycle collided with a Vancouver Fire Rescue Services truck on the Vancouver Causeway in Stanley Park.

The Vancouver Police Department stated that the motorcyclist was believed to be traveling in the opposite direction when the collision happened, followed by being struck by the fire truck. Despite the efforts of firefighters and emergency crews, the motorcyclist succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

VFRS Fire Chief Karen Fry expressed her condolences, mentioning how heartbreaking it was for their crews to be involved in such a tragic incident while responding to an emergency. She extended sympathies to the motorcyclist’s loved ones and all those affected by the accident.

Sabet, as per his LinkedIn profile, was a promising young individual with plans to pursue a career in private equity and corporate banking at SFU’s Beedie School of Business.

He was also working as a line cook at Cactus Club Cafe. Ryan Sabet’s passing leaves a void in the lives of those who knew him, but his legacy will continue to inspire and touch the lives of everyone he met.
