James Eric Anthony “Bubba” Dowling, a vibrant and dedicated individual, departed this life on Monday night, July 15, 2024, at the young age of 33. Born on October 8, 1990, in East Liverpool, Bubba was the son of Melissa Dowling of Wellsville and James Eric Dowling of Oklahoma.
Bubba was a proud alumnus of Wellsville High School, where he graduated with the class of 2010. During his time at the school, he was an active member of the football and wrestling teams, showcasing his passion and dedication to sports. After completing his education, Bubba pursued a career as a truck driver at Weirton Ice and Coal, becoming a valued member of the local Teamsters group.
On November 6, 2021, Bubba tied the knot with his loving wife, Ashley Cunningham Dowling, and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and adventure. He is survived by his wife and their five cherished children: Brooklyn, River, Micah, Karson, and Ashtin. Bubba’s paternal grandparents, Eddie and Sara Dowling, also survive him, along with seven siblings: Sara Dowling, Hope Chambers, Jason Dowling, Joseph Dowling, Richie Dowling, Eric Dowling, and the late Seth Dowling.
