Betty Joyce Jackson, a Devout Woman of Faith and Dedicated Servant of the Lord, Passes Away at 88, Leaving Behind a Legacy of Love, Prayer, and Transformation.

Betty Joyce Jackson, a shining example of faith and dedication, passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at the age of 88. Born on November 25, 1935, to Lyle and Alba Davidson, Betty lived a life transformed by her encounter with Jesus of Nazareth, which forever changed her path.

Betty’s early life was marked by a conventional routine, but a dire diagnosis led her to cry out to God in desperation, seeking truth before her passing. Instead, she met Jesus, and her life was forever changed. God blessed her with many more years, during which she dedicated herself to spreading the joy of serving the Lord.

In 1967, Betty and her husband, George, moved to Murfreesboro, Tennessee, to establish a veterinary clinic, supporting their growing family. Their home became a hub for Bible studies, welcoming individuals from across town. Betty’s passion for prayer and testimony inspired others, and her conviction that prayer transforms lives and futures became the central focus of her life.

In 1980, George and Betty founded World Outreach Church, expanding their reach to spread the joy of serving the Lord. Together, they traveled the world, inspiring people to choose a life dedicated to Jesus. They spent nearly a decade in Israel, translating Christian books into Hebrew and assisting Jerusalem’s residents.

Betty is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, George Jackson; sons Allen, Phillip, and Doyle; grandchildren Aaron, Peter, and Sarah Grace; great-grandchildren William Allen and Bethany Joyce; and siblings Doyle Davidson and Glenda Schoen.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 17, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at World Outreach Church, followed by a memorial ceremony on Thursday, July 18, at 10:00 a.m. in Three Crosses Sanctuary. Betty’s legacy of love, prayer, and transformation will continue to inspire generations to come.

Betty’s life was a testament to the power of faith and prayer, and her dedication to spreading the joy of serving the Lord has left an indelible mark on the lives of countless individuals. Her memory will continue to inspire others to choose a life dedicated to Jesus, and her legacy will live on through the countless lives she touched.
