Diagnosed at Christmas time, Jon faced his illness with remarkable strength despite having had a bad heart for some time.
One of his AML mutations was FLT3IDT, similar to Fred’s FLT3TKD, which made Jon’s battle feel even more personal to those of us who knew him. Though Fred and Jon didn’t get to talk much, Fred closely followed Jon’s journey and is deeply saddened by today’s news. Fred and the entire community are mourning this tremendous loss.
