John Keffer Tribute: Beloved UPS Driver, Devoted Son, and Cherished Friend, John Michael Keffer, Passes Away at 50, Leaving Behind a Legacy of Kindness and Dedication.

John Michael Keffer, a dedicated UPS driver and outdoor enthusiast, has passed away at the age of 50, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, dedication, and a deep appreciation for life’s simple pleasures. His peaceful passing at his home in Dawson, Pennsylvania, has sent shockwaves throughout the community, with tributes pouring in from all corners of the region.

John Keffer was a resident of Dawson for over three decades and dedicated himself to his career as a driver for UPS in New Stanton. Known for his reliability and commitment, John took pride in ensuring his deliveries were always prompt and efficient. His dedication to his work was only surpassed by his devotion to his family and friends, who will deeply miss his warmth, generosity, and kindness.

Beyond his professional life, John found immense joy in the outdoors. He spent countless hours cultivating his garden, delighting in growing and canning fresh vegetables. Cooking was another passion, and John loved sharing his culinary creations with loved ones. His love for nature and the outdoors was only matched by his love for his family and friends, who were the center of his universe.

John is survived by his parents, Charles E. Keffer Jr. and Patricia Ann Sztroin Keffer, who reside in Mt. Braddock. He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, David and Jamie Keffer of Mt. Braddock, and his sister and brother-in-law, Barbara Ann (Keffer) and Scott Anthony of Indiana. He cherished his role as uncle to nephews Jacob and Ryan, and niece Rayna Keffer. John also held a special bond with his best friend and father figure, Carl Gardner of Dawson, and leaves behind many cousins, along with his beloved dog Charlie.

Family, friends, and the community are invited to pay their respects at the visitation on Tuesday from 2-4 PM and 6-7:30 PM at Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations LLC, located at 191 Liberty St., Perryopolis, PA. A service will follow at 7:30 PM, officiated by Pastor Gary Coldren of Liberty Baptist of Uniontown.

John Michael Keffer’s life was characterized by kindness, dedication, and a deep appreciation for life’s simple pleasures. He will be fondly remembered for his warmth, generosity, and the positive impact he had on everyone fortunate enough to know him. His legacy will continue to inspire us to be better versions of ourselves, to cherish our relationships, and to never forget the indelible mark he left on our hearts and minds.
