Larry Dingee, the esteemed proprietor of Dingee Machine and a cherished friend, has tragically passed away, leaving the Sutphen dealer network, the fire service in New England, and his loved ones in shock and grief. The sudden news of his passing has sent waves of sadness throughout the community, as those who knew him struggle to come to terms with his absence.

Larry Dingee was a pioneer in the industry, founding Dingee Machine in 1979 and quickly establishing himself as a master of his craft. His attention to detail, commitment to his customers, and exceptional skill earned him a reputation that resonated throughout the Northeast. Larry Dingee is survived by his loving wife, Dale (Lawrence), son Shane Smith and partner Christina Annas, daughter Ashley Cunningham and husband Richard, daughter Kelsey O’Connor and husband Zachary Husband, and five grandchildren: Landon, Maisie, Jacob, Logan, and Julius. He is also survived by his brother Robert (Felicia Green), sister Linda JD Crossman (Rick Lamberson), several nieces and nephews, and several in-laws.

The Dingee family is in the thoughts and prayers of the community, and his loved ones will deeply miss him. However, the beautiful memories of Larry Dingee will prevail, and his kind soul will never be forgotten.

Visitation hours will be held at the Stringer Funeral Home, located at 146 Broad Street in Claremont, on Thursday, July 18, 2024, from 4 to 7 p.m. A burial will take place on Friday, July 19, at 11:00 a.m. in Cornish’s Edminster Cemetery, followed by a reception at the Cornish Town Hall.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cornish Fire Department Association or the Plainfield Fire Department would be appreciated.

Larry Dingee’s life was a testament to his dedication, excellence, and kindness. His legacy will continue to shape the future of those who knew him, and his memory will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
