Candace Ann Zenor, a 68-year-old resident of Tucson, was fatally injured in a two-vehicle crash on E. 22nd St. and S. Sarnoff Dr. on June 29, leaving her family and community in shock and grief. The Tucson Police Department responded to the scene at 9:15 p.m. and found that the crash involved a 2018 Nissan Murano driven by Zenor and a 2018 Dodge Caravan.

The investigation revealed that the Nissan was attempting to turn left from westbound 22nd St. onto southbound Sarnoff Dr. when the Dodge hit it. The Dodge was traveling above the speed limit of 40 MPH, and the driver, a 35-year-old woman, was found to be impaired at the time of the collision. Zenor was transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital with life-threatening injuries and unfortunately passed away. The driver of the Dodge was also taken to the hospital with serious, non-life-threatening injuries.
