Juan Mack, 48, Identified as Stabbing Suspect Killed in Officer-Involved Shooting Near Music Hall, Cincinnati Police Chief Teresa Theetge Confirms

Juan Mack, a 48-year-old man, has been identified as the stabbing suspect killed in an officer-involved shooting near Music Hall in Cincinnati, Ohio. Cincinnati Police Chief Teresa Theetge announced the identification during a press conference, providing details about the incident that led to Mack’s death.

According to Chief Theetge, Mack stabbed a woman in the neck before leading officers on a pursuit that ended near the intersection of 12th and Elm streets. The woman, who was critically injured, later passed away at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Mack crashed his car near the intersection and exited the vehicle armed with a firearm, prompting officers to give him multiple orders to put down his gun.

Eyewitnesses described the chaotic scene, with one witness, Miller, stating he saw the car chase and heard the shooting, which he described as “something from a movie.” Another eyewitness, who declined to be identified, saw Mack exit the car with a black gun and heard officers yelling, “Put the gun down, put the gun down.”

Ken Kober, president of the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 69, released a statement praising the officers for following their training and protecting lives. Chief Theetge confirmed that preliminary information indicates the incident was domestic-related and commended the officers for bringing the situation to a resolution, although unfortunate.

The entire incident remains under investigation, and the Cincinnati Police Department is working to piece together the events that led to Mack’s death. The community is shaken by the incident, and the police department is urging anyone with information to come forward.

Juan Mack’s death is a tragic reminder of the dangers of domestic violence and the importance of seeking help if you or someone you know is in a dangerous situation.

If you or someone you know is a victim of domestic violence, please call the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-7233 or the Cincinnati Domestic Violence Hotline at 513-381-5610.

Rest in peace, Juan Mack. May your legacy be a reminder to seek help and support when needed, and may your memory live on in our hearts forever.
