Jesus Galarza Obituary, – Arlington police have reported that the 18-year-old shooting victim, who was discovered in a vehicle with multiple bullet holes on Monday, has sadly passed away. The suspect, a 17-year-old, has been charged with his murder.
Joshua Nunn voluntarily surrendered himself at the Tarrant County Jail on Thursday morning, as stated by the police. He is accused of fatally shooting Jesus Galarza and injuring a 20-year-old.
According to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office, Galarza succumbed to a gunshot wound to the head on Wednesday at a Fort Worth hospital. The medical examiner confirmed that Galarza was from Fort Worth.
Investigators believe that Galarza and the 20-year-old had arranged to meet the suspect on Monday for the purpose of engaging in high-risk drug activity, as stated by the police.
Shortly after their arrival, the suspect pulled out a firearm and began shooting at their vehicle.
Upon receiving a call about the shooting, the police responded to the 400 block of Claire Court just before 7:30 p.m. Galarza and the other victim were found with gunshot wounds, while the suspect had already fled the scene.
Galarza was immediately transported to a local hospital in critical condition, while the injuries sustained by the 20-year-old were not life-threatening, according to the police.
Following an investigation, homicide detectives identified Nunn as the suspect and obtained an arrest warrant.
Nunn is facing charges of murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, as documented in court records. Nunn is currently being held at the Tarrant County Jail, with his bond set at $600,000.
