Ayden Beeson, a 17-year-old Central Dutch football player and beloved member of the Centerville community, tragically passed away in a drowning accident at Rathbun Lake in southern Iowa.

Ayden Beeson, a 17-year-old Central Dutch football player and beloved member of the Centerville community, tragically passed away in a drowning accident at Rathbun Lake in southern Iowa.

Ayden was pronounced dead on Wednesday night after a distress call was made around 6 p.m. regarding a drowning at the popular lake. The Appanoose County Sheriff’s Office and Water Rescue team responded to the scene, where they searched for Ayden and unfortunately found his body underwater in 15 to 20 feet of water.

Despite efforts to revive him, Ayden was pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of death is still under investigation, and authorities have opted to withhold additional information until the family is appropriately notified.

Ayden’s passing is a devastating loss for his family, friends, and the Centerville High School community. He was a proud alumnus who had a lasting impact on both students and faculty. Ayden was an engaged member of the school community, excelling in various activities and sports, including football and tennis.

He was elected Prom King by his peers, demonstrating his popularity and esteem among his classmates. Ayden’s kindhearted nature and genuine respect for others made him a beloved figure at school. Students and faculty alike praised his warm and thoughtful manner, describing him as a truly nice person who treated everyone with respect and kindness.

Ayden worked as a summer maintenance worker for the school district for the past two years, helping to prepare the school buildings for the next fall semester. His hard work and dedication were visible in every assignment he completed, leaving a great impact on everyone around him.

Ayden’s dedication to excellence and upbeat personality created an indelible impression on the school community, making him a valued part of Centerville High School. His generosity, athleticism, and determination will be remembered by everyone who knew him.
