Miguel Rodriguez Obituary – Officer Miguel Rodriguez, aged 31, has been identified as the individual responsible for shooting a burglary suspect in Las Vegas.
Employed with the Las Vegas Metropolitan police since 2017, Officer Rodriguez is currently assigned to the Northwest Area Command.
The incident occurred on June 25 on Valley Drive, near Rancho Drive and Lake Mead Boulevard, following a report of an intruder armed with a knife.
Despite repeated commands from the police to drop the weapon, the suspect engaged in a physical altercation with another individual. In response, Officer Rodriguez discharged his firearm, injuring the suspect.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan police have not provided any updates regarding the suspect’s condition.
As per standard procedure, Officer Rodriguez is currently on paid administrative leave while the incident undergoes a thorough review.
