Daniel Ozeri Obituary – Further details are emerging regarding a tragic incident that occurred on the 215, near the 95 interchange.
The collision occurred last week and a preliminary report from the Nevada State Police indicates that a 2024 GMC Yukon SUV was traveling in the wrong direction on the westbound lane, resulting in a head-on collision with a 2021 Dodge Ram truck.
The impact caused both vehicles to spin, with the Dodge subsequently colliding with a 2020 Toyota Camry.
Tragically, both the driver of the GMC and the driver of the Dodge were pronounced dead at the scene. The Clark County Coroner’s Office has identified one of the drivers as 39-year-old Daniel Ozeri, although they have not specified which vehicle he was operating.
The cause of his death has been determined as multiple blunt force injuries and has been ruled an accident.
The identity of the other driver involved has not yet been disclosed. A Henderson resident named David Bakanas shared his dash cam footage, which captured a black SUV traveling in the wrong direction just moments before the crash.
This incident serves as a stark reminder of the dangers posed by wrong-way driving.
According to the Nevada Department of Public Safety, there were five fatal wrong-way crashes in 2023. Alarmingly, we have already surpassed that number in 2024, with the year only halfway through.
