Ellen Shrum, Callie Weems Obituary – The Arkansas State Police have made an announcement regarding the tragic mass shooting that occurred outside the Mad Butcher grocery store in Fordyce on Friday. Regrettably, a fourth individual has lost their life as a result of this incident.
The latest victim has been identified as 81-year-old Ellen Shrum. Alongside Ellen, Callie Weems, Roy Sturgis, and Shirley Taylor were also identified as victims who lost their lives in the shooting.
Additionally, authorities have reported that five women and two men, ranging in age from 20 to 65, sustained injuries but survived the attack.
In relation to law enforcement personnel, Officer James Johnson from the Fordyce Police Department and Officer John Hudson from the Stuttgart Police Department were also injured and received medical treatment.
The suspect, 44-year-old Travis Eugene Posey, will now face four charges of capital murder, with the possibility of additional charges being added.
To provide further updates on the investigation, the Arkansas State Police officials have scheduled a news conference on Sunday at 2 p.m. in Little Rock.
