Susan Marinelli, a beloved mother, sister, and friend, passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2024, at the age of 57, surrounded by her loved ones. Born in Torrington, Connecticut, Susan was the daughter of Rosemary (Fiore) Marinelli and the late Michael Angelo Marinelli Jr.
Susan was a dedicated and passionate individual who spent her career in human resources, working for Orafol Americas in Avon for the past nine years. Prior to that, she worked at The Torrington Company and Wittmann Battenfeld. Her infectious enthusiasm, independence, and good humor made her a beloved colleague and friend to many.
Susan’s greatest joys in life were her two beautiful daughters, Kaylee and Kendra Jacques, who were the center of her universe. She loved hosting gatherings at her stunning home, traveling, and spending time with her family. Her favorite destinations included the mountains and beaches, and she often visited her daughters in North Carolina.
Susan is survived by her brother, Scott Marinelli of Torrington, Connecticut; sister, Patricia (Marinelli) Gladding of Avon, Connecticut; and her two daughters, Kaylee and Kendra Jacques of Summerville, South Carolina. She is also survived by her nephews and was predeceased by her brother, David Marinelli.
Friends and family are invited to attend calling hours at Vincent Funeral Home in Canton on June 24, 2024, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. to celebrate Susan’s life and legacy. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her, and her love, laughter, and devotion will never be forgotten.
