Sally Samourian Obituary: The deceased woman discovered inside a residence this week has been identified by the New Albany Police Department.
Authorities were alerted to a potential homicide at the 3400 block of Greenview Drive on Wednesday at 4 p.m. Upon reaching the location, law enforcement officers found the lifeless body of Sally Samourian, aged 56.
The police are treating the case as a homicide, although the cause of death has not been disclosed. Another male individual present in the house was apprehended by the authorities.
The 23-year-old suspect is currently under supervision at a hospital in Louisville due to an unrelated medical issue.
At present, there are no outstanding suspects in connection with the incident. The investigation is being conducted by the Criminal Investigations Division of New Albany in collaboration with the Indiana State Police.
