According to preliminary information, Bulloch County Dispatch received multiple calls around 2:45 p.m. on June 18, 2024, reporting a black Chevrolet Camaro involved in a hit-and-run, reckless driving, and shots fired. Deputies quickly located the vehicle at the Gas Pro Travel Center, where Bostic had already threatened a patron with his gun, prompting the patron to flee in fear.
As deputies approached the Camaro, Bostic exited the vehicle and was instructed to show his hands. Instead, he pulled out a handgun and fired at one of the deputies, leading both deputies to return fire, striking Bostic multiple times. He was pronounced dead at a local hospital, and his body will undergo an autopsy at the GBI Crime Lab.
