Huey Johnson Obituary, – The victim of a fatal hit-and-run crash that took place on Sunday evening near West Allen Griffey Road has been identified by the Clarksville Police Department. The deceased, Huey Johnson, aged 47, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. The incident occurred at approximately 7:50 p.m. on Peachers Mill Road.
The Fatal Crash Investigators (FACT) promptly responded to the scene. Witnesses informed the officers that a red Ford Fusion was involved in the hit-and-run and fled northbound on Peachers Mill Road, potentially sustaining damage to its rear.
The second vehicle involved in the crash collided with a pole and came to a stop off the roadway, resulting in the unfortunate death of the driver, Johnson.
The CPD has determined that the red Ford Fusion was a non-contact vehicle that left the scene. Initial findings from the investigation indicate that both vehicles were traveling at excessive speeds prior to the collision.
