The man has been recognized as Lamontae Aubrey Scott, a 23-year-old resident of the Sandston area in Henrico County.
Law enforcement officers from the Henrico County Police Division were dispatched to the 4600 block of Grand Ledge Court at 7:24 p.m. on Sunday, June 16, in response to a reported shooting incident.
Upon arrival, Scott was found in the parking lot displaying clear signs of trauma and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The investigation into the shooting is ongoing, with authorities treating the case as a homicide at present.
