Jason Chad Prosser Obituary
Johnathan McGill from the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office reported that a suspect was fatally shot on Sunday night during an altercation involving law enforcement in Pacolet, South Carolina.
The incident occurred after the Spartanburg County Communications Center dispatched deputies to respond to a call regarding a fight at a pool involving intoxicated individuals.
As deputies arrived at the scene, shots were fired from inside a residence, prompting them to take cover in the nearby wood line.
The suspect continued to discharge shots towards the officers and eventually approached the roadway in an aggressive manner. In response to the suspect’s actions, the deputies were forced to use their weapons.
The suspect has been identified as Jason Chad Prosser, a 43-year-old resident of Pacolet. Fortunately, no deputies were injured during the incident. The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division has taken over the investigation.
