David P. Savoie Obituary:
A man from DeQuincy was fatally wounded, and the individual suspected of causing his demise was discovered in a medical facility and taken into custody, as per officials.
David P. Savoie, aged 52 and a resident of DeQuincy, was discovered deceased in a residence in Moss Bluff shortly before noon on Sunday. The exact cause of his death remains undetermined.
Detectives from the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office concluded that the death was a result of a homicide and pinpointed Enrique D. Ruano II, aged 29 and from Lake Charles, as a person of interest. Following a thorough investigation, a warrant was issued for Ruano’s apprehension.
In the early hours of this morning, detectives located Ruano at a nearby hospital, where he was taken into custody and charged with second degree murder, as stated by officials. His bail has been set at $650,000.
Authorities have confirmed that the investigation is still ongoing.
