A nearby gravel quarry employee alerted authorities after noticing signs of a submerged vehicle. Both Greeley and Fort Lupton police, along with dive team members from the Greeley Fire Department and the Fort Lupton Fire Protection District, responded to the scene. The dive team successfully recovered the woman’s body, who was the sole occupant of the submerged vehicle. The Weld County coroner identified the woman as Vicente Vicente and informed her next of kin. Vicente Vicente had traveled to Greeley on June 13 for a religious event at Island Grove Regional Park and was last seen at a gas station on 42nd Street in Evans.
