Robert Terry Jr, Renee Terry Death
The Sangamon County Coroner, Jim Allmon, has confirmed the identities of the two individuals who lost their lives in Springfield on Thursday.
Allmon has disclosed that the deceased has been identified as Robert Terry Jr., aged 67, from Springfield, and Renee Terry, aged 61, also from Springfield.
The bodies of both individuals were discovered and declared deceased within their residence on Post Oak Ct. in Springfield on Thursday morning.
Following an autopsy conducted on Friday, initial results indicate that Renee Terry passed away due to multiple gunshot wounds, with her death being treated as a homicide.
Preliminary autopsy results for Robert Terry Jr. reveal that he succumbed to a single self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The circumstances surrounding these tragic deaths are currently being investigated by the Sangamon County Coroner’s Office and the Springfield Police Department.
