Cervando Velasquez Death
An individual on foot was fatally struck in a collision involving three cars on the Pasadena (134) Freeway, just west of Glendale, as confirmed by authorities on Friday.
The incident occurred at approximately 10:13 p.m. on Thursday near the junction of the eastbound Pasadena Freeway and the Glendale (2) Freeway.
Upon arrival, responding officers from the California Highway Patrol discovered the victim lying in one of the lanes of the eastbound freeway, alongside the damaged vehicles, as stated by CHP Officer Sergio Garcia in a statement to City News Service.
The deceased has been identified as Cervando Velasquez, aged 57, who unfortunately passed away at the scene, according to the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner. The city of residence for Mr. Velasquez remains unknown at this time.
The circumstances surrounding the collision are currently being investigated.
