Jeffrey “Jeff” Denhard, a devoted friend, parent, and dedicated police officer, has tragically passed away at the age of 59. Born on April 10, 1965, in Monroe County, Kentucky, Jeff was a beloved member of the Tompkinsville community. He graduated from Gamaliel High School in 1983 and was baptized at the Corinth Church of Christ.
Jeff’s passion for serving others led him to a career as a police officer for the City of Tompkinsville, where he dedicated himself to making a positive impact on the lives of those around him. His commitment to the community was evident in his involvement with Shop with a Cop, a program that brought joy to countless children in Monroe County.
Jeff’s sudden passing has left a void in the lives of those who knew and loved him. His family, including his daughter Michelle Conner, his work family, and numerous friends, will deeply miss his kindness, generosity, and unwavering support.
His companion Kristen Whitlow, sister Mary “Cricket” Sullivan, niece Sera Shayne, and great-niece Winter Morgan will also cherish his memory.
Funeral services will be held at Yokley Trible Funeral Home on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m., with visitation on Monday from 5-8 p.m. and Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
The family requests donations to Shop with a Cop in lieu of flowers, to continue Jeff’s legacy of bringing happiness to the children of Monroe County.
Jeff’s dedication to his community and his unwavering kindness will never be forgotten.
